Energy Deregulation helps consumers save money April 27, 2010
Energy Deregulation helps consumers save money on a monthly recurring household service that we all use 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
How many people do you know that use electricity?
How many people would like to pay less for that service, or even get it for FREE every single month?
Deregulation is changing the retail energy market throughout the United States. Texas is the 11th largest user of electricity in the world! Approximately 7.1 million Texas customers now have the right to choose their electric provider. Competition is replacing the larger monopolies that have always owned a majority of the market. New companies now have entered the marketplace by placing an emphasis on (1) competitive rates, (2) better customer service, [more info...]

At a recent conference, the speaker asked how many of the attendees used BlackBerries? Hands shot up. "How many of you use Twitter?" came the next question. "How about FaceBook?" Again hands-at least every other person's-waved in the air.
Obviously, we have become adept in social networking and the associated electronics. But, "How many of you communicate effectively?"

Dallas Speakers Bureau - Do you know the real story of Valentine's Day? February 08, 2010
Dallas Speakers Bureau -The Mysteries of Valentine's Day, compliments of Valerie & Company, one of my speakers and friend
Nobody really knows the true story of St. Valentine. In fact, it's been a mystery for ages...but we do know February has long been a month to celebrate romance.
But, who was Saint Valentine?
We can begin with the fact that the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.
One legend tells us Valentine was a priest during the third century in Rome. At about this same time, Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, so he outlawed marriage for young men- his crop of potential so [more info...]

You need your name, your phone number, and your email. Only some of you need your address, your fax number, extra office numbers, etc. on the front of your card.Try using the back.
2. Use a font that is clear. - If it's hard to tell 1's from 7's and a's from s's and e's, then you need a different font. I can't call you if I can't read the number.

It's Christmas Time by Bob Lazzar-Atwood
Put your problems on probation

Throw your worries out the window
Get the monkeys off your back.
Silence all your inner critics
With your conscience make amends,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Call a truce with those who bother you
Let all the fighting cease,
Give your differences a breather
And declare a time of peace,
Don't let angry feelings taint
The precious time you have to spend,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!

Here are two things necessary to make transitions and change more fearless for people:

2. Confidence - people who take time to define their personal or business brand find clarity in who they are and what they are best at. This builds confidence so they keep taking steps toward their goals, instead [more info...]

The wise man and the fool were talking one day. There are two sides to every question, proclaimed the wise man. Yes, said the fool, and there are two sides to a sheet of flypaper, but it makes a difference to the fly which side he chooses.
From the moment we wake up and decide what kind of mood we're in - to the choice of when to go to bed every night, we're all making decisions, all the time. The choices we make every day and every week and every month and every year influence our lives forever. Sometimes we think we don't have a choice, but we always have a choice in every [more info...]

Choices and Attitude. The choices we make every hour, every day, every week, month and year, give us direction for our path and journey called life. However, isn't ironic that just when we think we have it all figured out and life is going according to our plan, something happens to throw us off. It can be as small as hitting every red light when we are going to a job interview and we become late. It can be something major, like an unexpected pregnancy or a child in trouble.

She was born in Sweden in 1899, she was an opera singer by the age of ten and her name was Nina. Much of who I am started with her.
