Dallas Dave Ramsey Counselor Answers: How do I start the 7 Baby Steps? January 14th, 2009
Doug Stephens,MBA, Dallas Dave Ramsey Counselor helps clients at all levels of the 7 Baby Steps. They often ask me,”How do I start on the 7 Baby Steps?”
This is actually a very good question. An even better question might be,”where do I start?” It is the task of the Dave Ramsey Counselor to review the client’s financial situation in great detail. During this process we look at the budget, sources of income, and all debts and assets. Once this is completed it becomes very clear which Baby Step to use as the starting point for this client. Most people, as you might guess, begin at Baby Step 1.
This analytical process sounds deceptively simple. In practice, however, some people get bogged down or discouraged at this point. They may feel that Dave Ramsey’s program is too hard or that it will not work for them. Wrong. All these individuals need is a little guidance. A dedicated financial counselor can get a person up and running very quickly on the Dave Ramsey program
My goal, as a Dave Ramsey Counselor, is always to help people become expert at managing their own money. The keys to this are getting people started with no fuss and equipping them with the tools to be successful. These new skills must be practiced. There is no better way to improve at using Dave Ramsey’s 7 Baby Steps than by living them. Remember this a process. As time goes on, applying Dave Ramsey’s principles becomes second nature and it becomes easier.
Whether you work with a financial coach or on your own, the key is to start now. No one is an expert at first with the 7 Baby Steps. Start using the 7 Baby Steps and you will improve over time. Believe me you will be glad that you did !

Good post about Twitter. I think Twitter is going to be one of the best networks because of the fact that it is supported by so many industries. I also think when Twitter reveals some of it’s new features, returning traffic will increase to show the real growth of the network. Keep up the good work!
