McKinney Roofing Company is introducing a new roofing tile to N. Texas

McKinney Roofing Company owner J.D. Dunphy, President of Tornado Alley Roofing, has recently begun to offer a new type of roofing tile to North Texas residents.

There’s an alternative to the old style clay and concrete roof tiles; it’s called the Villa Tile made of corrosion resistant, aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel with an acrylic bonded stone chip finish that produces a very attractive finish. It displays a beautiful architectural appearance similar to Italian tile but with a higher level of performance due to the steel construction.

Because of it’s unique design of the tile, offered by Tornado Alley Roofing, heated air flowing into the attic is substantially reduced. This of course translates into less energy consumption. The material in the tile results in lighter weight, a longer life span, and very low maintenance. These stone coated steel roofs weigh half as much as an asphalt shingle roof and a quarter of a concrete roof.

The light weight of these steel roofs causes less sway in Tornados or high winds. A heavier roof can cause the walls to collapse as it begins to shake.

The Vila Tile system is backed by a 50-year limited warranty and a 120 mph wind warranty. In addition, it offers a Class “A” fire rating and a Class “4” impact resistance rating. Most insurance companies offer home owners a substantial discount on their annual insurance premium.
