Dallas Speakers Bureau introduces new speaker: Vincent Huntley

Dallas Speakers Bureau:

Upon Vincent Huntley’s release from prison, he created C.L Projects Inc., a 501-C-S- non-profit Corporation. To help support himself, he agreed to Work for the state of North Carolina’s “Willie M” program, which ran several group homes throughout Charlotte (Mecklenburg County) North Carolina, and a lock down facility The Tom Ray Center.

Duties included giving correct honest base line data on behaviors displayed by high risk youth in the custody of the state of North Carolina. He had to give countless verbal reports to Supervisors, clients, case managers, Doctors, and to other staff members. Supervisor name was Isaac Murray.*

Vincent worked for Pierce Associates in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Fayetteville is very military, so the implementations of communicating with the youth were like night and day. He aided the Director in the in-service programs regarding policies and procedures.

Mr. Huntley has also spoken at a common ground meeting at Davidson College.  In attendance were FBI Special Agents, Police Chiefs and officers from surrounding towns, Educators, Preachers and Community Leaders.  Mr. Huntley receives a standing ovation and had the entire room in tears.

Now a renewed pillar of his community he has a gift.

His mission is to help others become productive members of society and understand what options they have instead of the hard core lessons of the streets.

At present, Vincent is doing business as a prison layman in conjunction with C.L. Projects, Inc.  He tells his life story to youth and adults in the Texas State prison system.  His most recent presentation was for the Hutchinson State Jail where he delivered a lecture to the prisoners and to staff.

He likes to talk to First time Teachers, Parents, At Risk Kids organizations and is even starting a prison ministry.  His understanding of the streets and gang activity is priceless.

Topics include:

Student Anger and how to address it

Recognizing when someone is carrying a weapon

Reading body language

Recognizing gang signs and clothing

Knowing about Gang turf rules, in school, after school etc.

What do tattoos mean (Gang tattoos)

Learning to better communicate with At Risk Kids
