Ground soil treatments are applied as a preventive measure against subterranean termites. These termite control treatments offer a chemical barrier, which is intended to block all potential routes of entry, such as cold joints in the concrete, crevices at plumbing stub outs, and open spaces for other utility lines.
The most ideal time to apply ground soil treatments is just before the pouring of the concrete. The treatment should be applied after the fill has been compacted and rough utility lines and plumbing have been installed. The area must also be free of plastic. It is most beneficial to have the concrete poured within 24 hours of the termite control soil treatment.

Wood Treatment

Bore-Care Wood Treatment is a revolutionary termite control pretreatment that is applied directly to the wood in a two-foot barrier on the walls, floor and sill plate. It goes where other products can’t—on the wood instead of the soil. Great for green projects!

Our preferred product is Termidor®. Thanks to Termidor’s® unique “Transfer Effect” termites don’t even need to contact the insecticide in order to die from it. All they need to do is make contact with another termite that has already contacted or ingested Termidor®. “Transfer Effect” controls the whole termite colony up to 8 times faster than a bait system.
